We are happy and proud to anounce that Luis Moreno-Ocampo, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), will be the keynote speaker at our public debate on Monday. He will discuss the trade-off between peace and justice: should we accept a war criminal’s offer for peace in exchange for amnesty? Luis Moreno-Ocampo will explain why we should not accept amnesty and will allow you to question him on his position on Monday the 12^th of July. In addition, four accomplished international debaters will debate the pros and cons of his point of view.

As our waiting list is close to empty, we are reopening registration for the waiting list. All who are interested in participating at EUDC 2010 and are university students from the same university can now apply for a spot on the waiting list. This includes teams from outside of Europe, teams that have previously had to cancel, or teams from institutions that are already registered andwant to send a second or third team. All you need to do to get on the waiting list, is emailing your names, team and contact information to registration@amsterdameudc.org. Mind you: you will be put on the waiting list, we cannot guarantee you will get a spot.
