Welcome

Welcome to the website of Amsterdam Euros! Organizing the 2010 European Universities Debating Championships in the wonderful city of Amsterdam has been great. It was the twelfth time that students from all over Europe gathered to celebrate the power of intellectual debate and cultural exchange. The championship has grown from humble beginnings in 1999 to become one of the largest international student events of Europe with 568 participants in Amsterdam from the 12th to the 17th of July.

This year Patrick Rooney and Eoghan Casey (Kings Inns A) from Ireland won and Filip Muki Dobranic and Maja Cimerman (Ljubljana A) from Slovenia won the 'English as a second language' category. Best speakers in the preliminary rounds were Fred Cowell, and Jeroen Heun in the ESL-category. We hope that everyone had a great time.

See you next year in Galway, Ireland.
